Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers

The Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers is Southwest Florida’s premier auditioned choir, bringing together a diverse group of vocal musicians from all walks of life who share a love of singing and a commitment to cultivating a lifetime of music. The choir performs a wide-ranging repertoire that includes classical masterworks as well as contemporary commissions. In 2026, the Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers and the City of Palms Youth Choir presented the world premiere of The Witness: Incidents of the War of the Rebellion by Thomas LaVoy and released the first commercial recording of the work. Now available on all major streaming platforms, the recording reflects the organization's commitment to championing new choral music.

Beyond the flagship choir, the Mastersingers includes three additional ensembles that extend its mission of cultivating a lifetime of music.

The City of Palms Youth Choir offers an inspiring and educational experience for young singers throughout Southwest Florida, fostering musicianship, confidence, and leadership. In its first decade, CPYC has commissioned and performed seven world premieres of new works written specifically for the ensemble, reflecting its commitment to bringing young singers into the creation of contemporary choral music. The Intermezzo Choir supports singers experiencing neurocognitive decline, such as Alzheimer's disease, and their care partners. Luminara, the women's choir of the Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers, celebrates the beauty and versatility of the treble voice through both traditional and contemporary works.

Together, these ensembles form a vibrant musical family devoted to cultivating a lifetime of music through exceptional performance, educational initiatives, and community outreach. Now in its 26th season, the Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers continues to inspire audiences and nurture the next generation of singers, affirming that a love of music lasts a lifetime.
