Their vigil is interrupted only by the arrival of the domineering Pozzo and his burdened servant Lucky, whose presence highlights the strange dynamics of power and dependency. Samuel Beckett’s most famous work stripped the theater of traditional plot and artifice, changing the landscape of 20th-century drama. Instead of a linear narrative, the play offers a cyclical, dreamlike experience where "nothing happens, twice."
