"The Power of Music" Concert by the Southwest Florida Concert Band

Music can inspire us, bring us together, stir memories and sometimes make it impossible to sit still! Join the Southwest Florida Concert Band for "The Power of Music," featuring the Intermezzo Choir in an afternoon that celebrates just how many ways music can move us.

This wide-ranging program travels through musical styles, generations and emotions. You'll hear everything from the uplifting One World, Many Voices and Resilience to the fun and fast-paced Instant Concert, the sounds of Eighties Flashback and a Beatles medley featuring Can't Buy Me Love, Hello, Goodbye, Penny Lane and Ticket to Ride.

The program also showcases the remarkable versatility of the band with selections including Bayou Breakdown, Viktor's Tale for clarinet and band, the beloved Brindisi from Verdi's La Traviata and the aptly named Too Much Percussion!

And be ready to become part of the performance when we turn up the energy with Queen's We Will Rock You. Bring your best stomp-stomp-clap!

With the voices of the Intermezzo Choir joining the band and a program that moves from classical to contemporary, reflective to downright fun, The Power of Music has something for everyone.
