Paul Thorn has opened for and shared the stage with Sting, Bonnie Raitt, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck, John Prine, and Robert Cray, building a loyal following with a sound that blends blues, Americana, gospel, country, and Southern rock. His music is rooted in sharp songwriting, soulful vocals, and the kind of storytelling that turns everyday life into something unforgettable.
Raised in Tupelo, Mississippi, the son of a Pentecostal preacher, Thorn brings a remarkable life story to the stage. Before music became his path, he worked in a furniture factory, jumped out of airplanes, and fought legendary boxer Roberto Durán on national television. That mix of grit, humor, faith, and hard-earned wisdom runs through his songs, which are funny, soulful, gritty, and deeply human. With a warm Southern drawl and characters that feel instantly familiar, Paul Thorn delivers a performance filled with heart, wit, and true originality.
