"The Magic of Music" Concert by the Southwest Florida Concert Band

What is it about music that can transport us to another place, bring back a memory or completely change our mood? Join us for an afternoon celebrating music's remarkable ability to surprise, inspire and entertain.

The musical journey begins with the exhilarating Overture to Light Cavalry and travels through the peaceful beauty of Dusk and the majestic landscapes of The Redwoods. You'll also hear the distinctive March of the Belgian Parachutists, the rhythmic excitement of Classical Gas and the spirited sounds of The Klaxon.

Then we'll head to Broadway for the unforgettable music of The Phantom of the Opera, bringing some of musical theater's most dramatic melodies to the concert stage.

Special guest vocalist James Jones adds another dimension to the afternoon with three terrific selections: Van Morrison's smooth and swinging Moondance, Stevie Wonder's infectious Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing, and a celebration of the unmistakable music of Al Jarreau.
