Get a Handel on Baroque Dance

You’ve listened to minuets and gavottes, but have you ever danced them? In this class, you’ll deepen your appreciation and understanding of music by Handel, Bach, Vivaldi, et al., by learning to dance a different baroque dance each month. Come and bourée the night away! Soft-soled shoes recommended.

Affectionately known as The PhDiva because she is a classically trained soprano with a PhD from Harvard, Dr. April Lynn James is an expert in early music and dance. She studied with such luminaries in the field as Ken Pierce and Thomas Baird and recently relocated to Fort Myers. She is committed to sharing her skills in the performing, visual and literary arts in order to help individuals recover their innate joy and vitality.
