"Broadway and Beyond" Concert by the Southwest Florida Concert Band

Take your seat for one final musical journey as the Southwest Florida Concert Band brings its season to a spectacular close with Broadway and Beyond, featuring guest vocalists Carolann Sanita and Gerritt VanderMeer.

The afternoon begins with Leonard Bernstein's brilliant Overture to Candide and includes the unforgettable Somewhere from West Side Story and the playful Wrong Note Rag.

Our guest vocalists step into the spotlight with some of musical theater's most memorable songs. Gerritt VanderMeer brings us the swagger and charm of Luck Be a Lady, while Carolann Sanita performs the deeply moving I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables.

Then Carolann and Gerritt come together for one of Broadway's great romantic duets, All I Ask of You from The Phantom of the Opera.

Beyond Broadway, the band showcases its versatility with Holst's beloved Suite in E-flat, the haunting beauty of Oblivion and the colorful energy of the Gallito Spanish March.

And as another wonderful season comes to an end, Carolann Sanita will send us off with the beautiful and fitting Time to Say Goodbye.

From Broadway showstoppers and soaring vocals to treasured concert band classics, this is a finale filled with drama, romance, energy and beautiful music.
