Everything You Need to Know about the Florida Everblades
Naturally occurring ice might be a bit of a rarity here, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go out and get your hockey fix after hitting the beach! That’s right; Southwest Florida has a fast-paced, in-your-face, professional hockey team known as the Florida Everblades. If you’re a hockey fan, be sure to swap sand for ice and enjoy an Everblades game while on vacation.
Who Are the Florida Everblades?

Where Do the Florida Everblades Play?
The Florida Everblades play in Germain Arena in Estero, just 20 miles south of downtown Fort Myers. Built in 1998, Germain Arena is the home of the Ultimate Indoor Football League’s Florida Tarpons and also hosts more than 300 entertainment events, like Stars on Ice, Disney On Ice, WWE wrestling and headline concerts. While at the Germain Arena, be sure to visit Breakaway Sports Pub, a restaurant that looks over the arena bowl.
More Than Just Hockey?
Yes! There’s more than hockey at Germain Arena. Each professional hockey game features fun promotions and events, like painting the ice after a game, or bounce houses and face-painting artists at Saturday games. Germain Arena is also a great spot to host group events such as fundraisers, birthday parties and tailgates.
