Arrive in Matlacha ("Mat-La-Shay") via the ‘most fishing-est bridge in the world’ and strike your pose with the colorful fish at the murals at Bat House Park, which offers a great spot to fish under the bridge at Matlacha Pass. This park is named for the large bat house placed on the site to accommodate a bat colony that lived under the former bridge replaced in 2012. The murals adorn the historic structure at the park that used to be The Snook Inn restaurant and now houses the park's restrooms. The tiny island community of Matlacha exudes Old Florida charm and features a variety of art galleries, fish markets and restaurants.

The inspiration for these murals is, of course, fishing! Vibrant fish on one side reflect the tropical colors you’ll see as you drive through Matlacha. Make sure to reel in the snook on the front of the building and post the picture of your prize catch.
