Celebrate the Fourth of July on Fort Myers Beach with a full day of free and patriotic fun, starting with the annual parade at 10 a.m. from Bay Oaks Recreation Center down Estero Boulevard to Times Square. Continue the celebration at Bayside Veterans Park with the Freedom by the Bay patriotic ceremony at 4:15 p.m. followed by live music from 5–8 p.m., then end the night with a spectacular fireworks show over Times Square at approximately 9 p.m. Bring a beach chair and enjoy one of the area’s favorite holiday traditions.

Celebrate the Fourth of July in Bonita Springs beginning with the annual “Small Town Big Spirit” parade along Old 41 Road at 9 a.m. The celebration continues at Riverside Park starting at 6 p.m. with live music from The Ben Allen Band, food, and fun for all ages, followed by a spectacular 50-minute drone, fireworks and laser light show lighting up the night sky.

Celebrate Independence Day in Cape Coral at Red, White & Boom, Southwest Florida’s largest single-day event, taking place from 5–10 p.m. on July 4. The free celebration features family fun, national entertainment, a performance by country star Chris Lane at 8 p.m. and one of the area’s biggest fireworks displays at 9:30 p.m. The festivities also include the Freedom 5K and Kids Fun Run beginning at 7 a.m. near the Cape Coral Bridge.

Downtown Fort Myers offers a festive waterfront atmosphere for the Fourth of July, with restaurants, bars and gathering spots along the Caloosahatchee River and around Caloosa Sound Amphitheater and Centennial Park providing great places to celebrate the holiday.

Celebrate the Fourth of July on Sanibel Island with a full day of island traditions and patriotic fun, including a pancake breakfast at Sanibel Community Church from 7–9 a.m., the annual Independence Day Parade along Periwinkle Way at 9 a.m., family activities and a water balloon fight at the Sanibel Recreation Center from 11 a.m.–2 p.m., live music and community celebrations throughout the day, and the City of Sanibel’s fireworks display over San Carlos Bay at approximately 9 p.m.
