The right stuff

Fort Myers Baseball & Spring Training

Baseball fits naturally in Southwest Florida. Each March, the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins return for spring training. Young players from around the country attend our elite baseball camps each summer. And year-round, local leagues keep the spirit of the game in play.

The Minnesota Twins have called our coast their spring training destination since 1991. That same year, they won a record 21 games during spring training before going on to win the World Series. Hammond Stadium welcomes them back each spring, but hosts minor league games there throughout the year.

Red Sox fans may already know that their team plays more than 20 games at JetBlue Park – a state-of-the-art ballpark that holds up to 11,000 people. The success of their world championship season in 2018 and 2013 was acknowledged by players to have begun right here in Fort Myers.

Ticket prices and game schedules are released in mid-November, with ticket sales beginning in December or January, so you can plan your visit to either field in advance. With baseball games happening nearly every day during spring training, you can often grab tickets when you arrive.

In addition to the pros, watch college teams compete at our first-rate facilities, or follow your own kids from the stands at one of many prominent baseball camps.
