Resident Artist Program

The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau is not accepting applications at this time for the Resident Artist Program. Check back soon for updates on the next program.

art is in your nature

The Resident Artist Program gives a local photographer/videographer (must live in Lee County, FL) the chance to further develop their work and connect with the people and nature of Lee County. The selected artist will be asked to express Lee County's sense of place – what it's like to catch a tarpon, see the sunset over the Gulf, glide beneath mangrove tunnels, walk and play in the River District, etc. The Visitor & Convention Bureau is seeking images and videos of what it's like to unwind, explore, gather together and be surrounded by the nature of Lee County.

The Resident Artist will receive a stipend of $5,000 for a three-month residency. The Resident Artist will provide 30 digital, high-res images and/or videos for use in marketing efforts. We also require seven social media posts per month (approximately two per week) and a monthly status meeting with VCB managers. The Resident Artist must be a part-time or full-time Lee County resident.

The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau retains full rights usage for images selected. Stipend will be paid in full following program completion. No living accommodations, studio, or equipment will be provided.
