Education & Resources
The VCB encourages its industry partners to take advantage of designations that recognize commitment to excellence.
Florida Green Lodging Program
The Florida Green Lodging program is a voluntary initiative of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) that designates and recognizes lodging facilities that make a commitment to conserve and protect Florida’s natural resources. The program’s environmental guidelines allow the hospitality industry to evaluate its operations, set goals and take specific actions to continuously improve environmental performance.

Superior Small Lodging Program
The FL Superior Small Lodging program was a marketing initiative designed to create a symbol of excellence and a quality brand awareness for smaller properties with 50 units or fewer. After 40 years of supporting properties statewide, it dissolved in November of 2020. Small property owners were offered the opportunity to join the Florida Inns Chapter of the FRLA (FL Restaurant & Lodging Association). For information on this program, please reach out to Nicole Chapman FRLA Florida Inns Chapter Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) cherishes its small independently owned properties with their own story to tell. The VCB promotes them through the Visit Fort Myers brand, various co-operative advertising programs, and on its consumer website. For more information on VCB initiatives visit our partner website at www.leevcb.com.
