In 2024, our expanded webcams were a powerful resource to reassure visitors that the destination was open and welcoming visitors after Hurricanes Helene and Milton in that “seeing is believing.” After the storms in the month of October, the webcams received a whopping 720,505 unique visitors. While the hurricanes were certainly not a desired event to drive consumers to our website, the silver lining was that the webcams were up and ready, serving a valuable purpose and introducing a vast amount of people to the destination.
