Market Blitz Press Trips

In an effort to boost Fort Myers' integrated Market Blitz Campaign, we utilized PR tactics to target leisure travelers in Detroit, Minneapolis, Grand Rapids and Cincinnati. We identified and targeted high-value regional travel media with aligned audiences and geographic relevance to coordinate personalized press trips to experience the destination for themselves. The personalized itineraries positioned our area as a premier destination for golf travelers, outdoor adventure seekers, family and multigenerational vacationers, and more.

These trips led to high-impact media placements, reaching a combined audience of more than 10.8 million readers with an ad value of over $1.6 billion, contributing to increased year-over-year visitation in Cincinnati (+36%), Detroit (+14%) and Minneapolis (+18%),
